Greetings from Lapine. Our club, the Lapine RC Flyers is hosting a
weekend fly-in SEPT 17-19 with free camping and RV parking. On SAT SEPT
18, we will start the day with the DAWN PATROL and blend into WARBIRDS
over the MEADOW, with an engine run-up, group taxi, and formation
flying, featuring all military aircraft in an event created to show and
display, in a no pressure atmosphere. We cordially invite all your
members to view and participate in this event.

FLY “WAACK-2010” The Northern
California Radio Controlled Unlimited Flyers would like to
invite you to our “WAACK-2010” event.
June 11 - 13 at our club field located in Anderson,
Ca. Directions available at club website
www.NCRCUF.com Its going to be a
fun, relaxed, fly whatever you want event. We welcome planes of
all kinds Sport, Scale, War Birds, Fun Fly, 3D,
Jets everything, and in no particular order! (The only
thing that might stop Jets from being able to fly would
be very dry fire conditions, and, we have club members with Jets so we
want them to fly!) Food and drinks will
be available. We will be having a free swap meet. As far as camping we
have room for any RV’ and or trailers and that is
free as well. Shade canopies are
very welcomed, also we have a 100’ shade structure
you are welcome to use. So come one and all.

War Birds Event June 26 & 27th.
Location is at our
Mosby Creek Field..
Remember that the theme
of
the event is to honor all veterans but especially the ones who are
involved in
our club who have served and those who have passed through our club
into
eternity. “Never has so many owed so much to so few..”
(Winston Churchill) He said this after the Battel of Britain
where the
combat in the air was finger nail holding on to their island. He
was
referring to the RAF after beating off the Nazis from invading England.
We can also say that to all veterans who have served.. So I am
personally
inviting all of you who have scale airplanes to come and participate in
this
large event our club puts on yearly.
The event runs
two days and overnight camping is available
starting on Friday. The US Marines will conduct opening ceremony
on
Saturday morning at 9:30am with a Veterans Eulogy delivered
afterwards.
Open fun flying the remaining time with a Public and Pilot’s choice
judging contest at noon. The more you fly the more your chances
at winning
a new KMP Pitts 12 Biplane that will be sponsored by KMP Models.
KMP has
been a great supporter of our club activities. At noon on Sunday,
the
reenactment of the battle of Britain

West Coast" RC event.
SPADS are planes
made out of coroplast and other types of plastic
parts. You can go to
www.spadtothebone.com for more info on spads. Spads are
very cheap and durable. We will be having
the second annual SPAD gathering this July in
McMinville Oregon at the Evergreen Aircraft and Space museum RC site. We are asking that

be in your club or anybody that might have an interest in
spads, combat or having a great time with other

Electric Fly-IN The annual Northwest
Electric Fly-In will be held Saturday and Sunday
August 14th and 15th at the Paradise Flying Field near Spokane. If
you've been to our field before you'll be amazed by the improvements
we've made. There's a newly smoothed, packed, and sealed runway. It's
75 feet wide and 180 feet long. (I know this is a bit short but we
share this field with sailplanes, and they don't like a hard runway,
but this should be plenty of room for the majority of flyers). In
addition to the hard runway there's plenty of groomed grass (dormant,
but still grass). As usual we'll have
a humongous raffle (and you don't have to be
present to win). Self contained
campers are welcome. Food vendor on site both days for
lunches. See the attached
flyer. Tell your friends. Spread the word. With the
